The diaphragm should always be used with the Caya® Diaphragm spermicidal gel.

Tips for using Caya.

For the complete instructions for use, visit the Caya website.

New tests have shown that lubricants based on silicone oil damage the Caya diaphragm. We advise all users of the Caya® diaphragm to only use a water-based lubricant together with Caya®.

You can insert the Caya diaphragm up to 2 hours before you want to have sex. Always in combination with the Caya gel. But you can also apply it just before sex.

After sexual intercourse, the Caya diaphragm must remain in the vagina for at least 6 hours.

Do not keep Caya in for longer than 24 hours. Just like using a tampon, the Caya® diaphragm can cause unwanted bacterial growth if it is left in the vagina for longer than 24 hours continuously. These bacteria can then possibly lead to toxic shock syndrome.
