Condomerie congratulates (a little jealous) Rijksmuseum on the purchase of this beautiful condom dating from 1830 featuring an erotic image: a nun, seated with her legs apart, chooses her bed partner from one of the three naked, excited clergymen standing in front of her. She says: Voilà, mon choix. Is there an empty crib behind her? This condom is probably made from a sheep’s appendix, DNA research will have to provide clarity.

After your visit to the Rijksmuseum, visit Condomerie, Warmoesstraat, nearby Dam Square: we still sell condoms made of a sheep’s appendix and we have a rare fish bladder condom in our archive.
